Colored masonry mortar and joint mortar for Tower H with a panoramic view of the city of Tilburg
Tower H completes the new-build project “Aan de Waterkant” in Tilburg, the Netherlands. In addition to a variety of family homes, the sixty-meter-high Tower H is the eye-catcher next to the Wilhelmina Canal. Spread across 19 floors, several types of apartments have been created. All apartments have a balcony and a covered private parking space.
Diederen Dirrix Architecten designed “Aan de Waterkant”, which is already the most popular new residential neighbourhood in Tilburg. The façades of Tower H are characterised by vertical and horizontal lines oriented towards the city and the water.
The facing brick in Waal format WF Structeau Muria – grey-white sintered was alternated with WF Structeau Telica – exclusive wine-red sintered from manufacturer Caprice. For the masonry, DSM 104 coloured mortar – colour Silver Grey 3772 – was selected. It complies with M 10 according to EN 998-2 and is also KOMO-certified, which is proof of quality. To guarantee continuity of work on the construction site, the through-coloured mortar was delivered in silos throughout the entire building process.
For the prefabricated concrete balconies, joint mortar in a custom colour was supplied in big bags. The Tilburg-based contractor Alphons Coolen Bouw B.V. carried out the structural works for Tower H, and the teams achieved beautiful masonry that highlights the building design, the facing bricks and the mortar.
