An elegant terrace with a draining build-up around the swimming pool
A draining build-up was installed around the swimming pool of a villa in Bonheiden by contractor Eric De Hoef, consisting of a stable foundation layer, a drainage mat, and a water-permeable screed, Chape Drain 15.
The terrace was finished with natural stone tiles in irregular shapes, flagstones, which were jointed with a water-permeable polymer joint, Joint'fill Drain, in a light beige colour for an attractive visual effect.
The paths leading to the other buildings and garden areas were also laid in natural stone.
The combined water-permeable system Chape Drain 15 / Joint'fill Drain offers numerous advantages, such as rainwater infiltration into the ground, no standing water and therefore no slippery terrace, reduced risk of frost damage in winter, and an aesthetically pleasing, durable terrace.
Chape Drain 15 draining screed mortar was delivered directly to the site in a silo, which was extremely convenient for the contractor. An additional advantage was the site assistance provided by Cantillana, which was present during various stages of the project.
The result meets the wishes of the villa owners, creating a harmony between aesthetics and ecology that guarantees long-lasting satisfaction and efficiency.
